Drawing on over 25 years in Child Abuse and Primary Care Pediatrics, Dr. Agrawal is experienced in trauma-informed care in diverse clinical settings, including school health, community health, and academia. Dr. Agrawal competed her Medical Doctor degree at Rutgers University, Residency at Cornell University, and Academic Pediatric Fellowship at New York University.

Excelling in translating evidence based medicine for the public, Dr. Agrawal’s writings have been published in the New York Times, New York Daily News, STAT, and other media. She has been interviewed by CNN, BBC, PBS, and the Economist for the documentary, Out of the Shadows. She regularly speaks on firearm related harm in children.
Advocate
As a long standing advocate for children, Dr. Agrawal has received a Special Achievement Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics and a citation from New Yorkers Against Gun Violence and Senator Schumer. She is appointed to the World Childhood Foundation - USA Child Sexual Abuse Advisory Council and the AAP’s CATCH grant program.

Committed to promoting evidence informed policies, Dr. Agrawal’s research on violence against children has been published in journals and presented at conferences. She is in the MPH program at CUNY - School of Public Health and Health Policy.
